Luding County is located at the western foot of Erlang Mountain in Sichuan Province, in the southeast of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, between Qionglai Mountain and Daxue Mountain, and the Dadu River runs through the whole territory from north to south. Shimian County is adjacent to the east, located at east longitude10146 ′-102 25 ′ and north latitude 29 54 ′-3010 ′.

The county has jurisdiction over 4 towns and 8 townships, and 57 villagers' committees, inhabited by Han, Tibetan, Yi, Hui, Qiang, Mongolian, Miao, Naxi and other 14 ethnic groups.

Erlangshan 1

It is the boundary mountain between Luding County and tianquan county, and is famous all over the world because of a song "Singing Erlang Mountain" written by the People's Liberation Army 1950 when building roads. Erlang Mountain is northeast as a whole; The main peak is 3437 meters above sea level, and the mountain pass of Huojiagou Highway on the south side is 2987 meters above sea level. Yakou is located in the east of Tianquan North subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, and Yakou is located in the west of Luding North subtropical hot valley monsoon climate zone. Looking east from Huojiagou Mountain Pass, it looks like Yinshan Mountain, where it is wet and rainy.

2. Yanzigou

Located in the southwest of Luding County, at the eastern foot of Gongga Mountain King, 60 kilometers away from the county seat, Xinxing Township. It belongs to the sister ditch of Hailuogou, a national 4A scenic spot. The ditch is 40km long and the scenic area is10000m2. The annual rainfall is 1200ml, and the average temperature is 8.5℃. There are modern glaciers, forests, peaks and cold and warm springs at the low altitude of Yanzigou Scenic Area.

3. Hailuogou

Hailuogou is located in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is famous for its large-scale low-altitude modern glaciers. It combines virgin forests, rare animals and plants, hot springs and waterfalls to form a magnificent and unique landscape. It is the closest and most accessible modern glacier to a big city in the world.
