Please tell me about the historical allusions of Anyang or Northern Henan. Thank you.
Located in northern Henan, bordering Hebei and Shanxi. It was called Xiangzhou in ancient times and Zhangde Prefecture in modern times. After liberation, the Anyang area was established, which now has Anyang City, Puyang City, and Hebi City under its jurisdiction. In the early 1980s, the area was removed and the city was established. The Huan River passes by the city. After his inspection, General Secretary Jiang wrote an inscription in his own words, "We must manage the Huan River well." The famous oracle bone inscriptions were discovered in the "Yin Ruins" by the Huan River. In 2000, the archaeological team of the Chinese Academy of Sciences excavated a large tomb of a Shang Dynasty general in the Yin Ruins. Its scale was slightly smaller than the "Fu Hao" tomb excavated in the same area. It is now unearthed in my country. The largest bronze vessel in China, the "Simuwu Ding", was unearthed from the tomb of "Fuhao", and Chairman Mao personally inspected Fuhao's tomb. The city has Asia's largest color glass bulb production base - Ancai Hi-Tech. Comrade Deng Xiaoping and General Secretary Jiang have both visited here.
Oracle bone inscriptions are the earliest mature writing in China. Together with Egyptian papyrus and Babylonian clay tablets, they are the most precious cultural heritage of human society. Both papyrus and clay tablets have been lost, while China's oracle bone inscriptions have mutated several times and been passed down from generation to generation, finally becoming the popular writing system in China today. From oracle bone inscriptions to modern Chinese characters, they not only play a huge role in the development of the Chinese nation, but also record the splendid 5,000-year history of civilization of the Chinese nation. Let us work together to make more people know this "thousand-year-old divine armor and the ancestor of writing" and preserve the roots of our culture
Oracle bone inscriptions, an ancient Chinese calligraphy style name. People of the Yin Dynasty used tortoise shells and animal bones (mainly ox shoulder blades) for divination. After the divination, the date of divination, the name of the soothsayer, and the divination matters are carved with a knife next to the divination. Some also engrave the good or bad luck that will come true after a certain number of days. The most detailed one is nearly 100 words long. Scholars call this kind of record oracles, and this kind of writing is oracle bone inscriptions. The oracle bone inscriptions were discovered in the Xiaotun Village area of ??Anyang. They were relics from the time when King Pan Geng of Shang moved to Yin to the fall of King Zhou (mid-14th century BC to mid-11th century BC), which is more than 3,000 years ago.
At first, the oracle bone inscriptions appeared naturally without anyone paying attention. In 1899, Wang Yirong identified them as Shang Dynasty writings and started collecting them. In 1903, Liu E made a rubbing of "Tie Yun Hidden Turtle". Early researchers include Sun Yirang, Luo Zhenyu, Wang Guowei, etc. Luo Zhenyu also collected physical rubbings and made them into "Yinxu Shuqi" and so on, and made textual research and interpretation. The archaeological excavation of Yin Ruins in Anyang began in 1928 and lasted for eight or nine years. The biggest harvest was the excavation of Pit No. 127 in the summer of 1936, which yielded more than 17,000 oracle bone inscriptions. Based on the obtained collections, they were assembled and selected, and compiled and printed into "Yinxu Script·Biography A" and "Biography B", and the oracle bone number 13047 was finally collected. Dong Zuobin wrote "A Study on the Dating of Oracle Bone Inscriptions" based on the excavated materials, dividing the Oracle Bone Inscriptions into five periods, and elaborated on the evolution of the grammar, glyphs, and calligraphy styles of the characters, which were later revised. Chen Mengjia carefully summarized it in his "Summary of Yinxu Inscriptions", and the chronological theory is basically credible. There are many scholars in the field of textual research and interpretation of oracle bone inscriptions, among whom Guo Moruo, Tang Lan, Yu Shengwu and others have made outstanding achievements. Sun Haibo collected and printed it into "Oracle Bone Inscriptions", which was first published in 1934 and revised and reprinted in 1964. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Institute of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences collected 41,956 oracle bones unearthed from the Yin Ruins in Anyang in the 80 years since 1899, public and private collections, and 41,956 pornographic films spread overseas. Under the specific guidance of editor-in-chief Guo Moruo and editor-in-chief Hu Houxuan, Compiled and printed as "Oracle Bone Collection", the Institute of Archeology excavated 4,589 oracle bones in the Yin Ruins in the 1970s. Zhong Shaolin and other five people compiled "Xiaotunnan Di Oracle Bones", which added a lot of important information.
Oracle bone inscriptions are the oldest extant Chinese characters, with about 4,500 characters, about 1/3 of which are legible. Its basic vocabulary, basic grammar, and basic glyph structure are consistent with those of later generations of Chinese language and characters. Checking with Xu Shen's Six Books, the glyph structure refers to things, pictograms, phonetic sounds, and meanings are all complete; the use of text and meaning is also very clear. . Oracle bone inscriptions can be dated back to earlier times, and a lot of knowledge about the development of Chinese characters can be learned from the changes in some commonly used characters. For example: ① Simplification: characters with complex shapes become simpler and fewer strokes. ②Phonetic transformation: pictographs add phonetic symbols, and borrowed characters add phonetic symbols, turning into pictographic characters. Oracle bone inscriptions were written and engraved by soothsayers, so they have their limitations and do not necessarily include all the characters of the Shang Dynasty. Some divination terms may not be commonly used by ordinary people. And because it is carved with a knife, it is inevitably deformed and difficult to understand at first sight.
Oracle bone inscriptions originally came from the Yin Ruins in Anyang. It has been more than 80 years since its discovery. Through the efforts of many scholars, great achievements have been made and it can be regarded as a unit in the history of Chinese writing. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhou people's inscribed oracle bones were found in various places, such as three divination bones unearthed in Zhangjiapo, Fengxi, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, one divination bone unearthed in Fangdui Village, Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, and Changping, Beijing City. Three pieces of divination armor were unearthed in Baifu Village, Shaanxi Province, 292 pieces of divination armor were unearthed in Fengchu Village, Qishan County, Shaanxi Province, and 1 piece of divination armor and 6 pieces of divination bones were unearthed in Qijia Village, Fufeng County. Among them, Qishan and Fufeng are more important, with a large number of pieces and more than 250 different words. These materials were unearthed in scattered locations, with different ages, simple content, and different glyphs from the Yin Ruins. They are indeed new discoveries in Chinese archaeology. However, from the perspective of the history of Chinese characters, no problems have yet been solved.
