Brief introduction of Heshui reservoir

Heshui Reservoir, located in the north of xingning city, Guangdong Province, is 4 km away from the urban area/kloc-0. It is built at the intersection of Huangpi River and Luogang River, the main stream of Ningjiang River, with a catchment area of more than 568 square kilometers, accounting for 4 1.6% of Ningjiang River basin area. The reservoir covers an area of10.9 million mu, and besides the flooded area of10.2 million mu in a hundred years, there are 6,505 mu of land, including 4,789 mu of woodland and 0.7/0.6 mu of cultivated land. Heshui Reservoir started construction in June 1956 and June 10, and was completed in July of the following year, with a total storage capacity of 53 million cubic meters. After two expansions of 1959 and 1964, the maximum storage capacity is 1. 1 100 million cubic meters, which is a large (II) reservoir.
