Jiang Dawei was born in Tianjin on January 22, 1947. In 1968, he went to Ulanhot to jump in and settle down. In 1970, he joined the Forest Police Art Troupe. The winner of the first China Golden Disc Award, he has been a judge of the Youth Singing Competition for a long time and is very popular among the audience. In 2009, he was awarded the title of "Chinese-African Artist" and the title of Expert with Outstanding Contribution of the Ethnic Affairs Committee. Selected as one of the "60 Artists Favored by the People" selected by People's Daily Online. The two songs "Speaking of China" and "Harmonious Home" composed and sung by him were selected into the 100 patriotic songs of the Central Propaganda Department.
