What do we leave behind for future generations?

Catholicism believes that humans are made of clay according to God’s own image. When creating man, God also created the heaven and earth, all things, mountains and rivers. The earliest people did not have to work as hard as today's people. They lived in the Garden of Eden with no worries about food and clothing and unlimited joy. Later, people couldn't stand the temptation of snakes and became greedy, which disgusted God and ruined their jobs. This is the miserable fate they have now. If you want to know about the world, you have telephones and TVs; computers and the Internet put the world at your fingertips. This alone is far from satisfying human needs and curiosity. Climb the moon in the sky, explore the five oceans, investigate the polar regions, and go deep into the desert for development. The world is a big place and there is no place that no one wants to go.

However, human beings, who only know how to seek and are reckless about the consequences, while vigorously developing and utilizing the earth, unscrupulously emit large amounts of harmful gases into the air, seriously damaging the ozone layer on the earth's surface, thus leading to the gradual warming of the global climate. , polar glaciers are melting and sea levels are rising.

Extreme weather events such as heavy rains, blizzards, sandstorms and months-long droughts are becoming more and more rampant.

Earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods have begun to compete with people for living space. Last year's northern sandstorm front crossed the Taiwan Strait and headed towards Jiangxi. Last year alone, nearly 300,000 people died in various natural disasters around the world. Environmental issues are urgent and everyone knows it, but what people care about is the economic growth index.
