How long does it take to get a visa in the United States after supplementary materials are needed?

After the US visa requests supplementary materials, it will generally get a reply or visa within 1-3 weeks.

Application process

1. Fill in the online non-immigrant visa application form DS- 160 and print out the "confirmation page" with barcode.

2. Pay the visa application fee.

3. Make an appointment for an interview.

A valid passport to the United States must be valid for at least 6 months after the scheduled stay in the United States. If the passport contains more than one person, each visa applicant needs to submit a separate application.

3. 2-inch x2-inch (5cm x 5cm) photos taken in the last six months.
