Zhengshan Village is located in the southeast of Xiaye Town, Jiyuan City, Henan Province. There are 8 residential groups in the village, 148 households with 658 people. 4 village cadres, party member 13. The jurisdiction covers an area of 4.5 square kilometers, including 320 mu of cultivated land and 200 mu of returning farmland to forests. In 2007, the per capita net income of farmers reached 2800 yuan, mainly from planting, aquaculture and migrant workers.

Zhengshan Village is a pilot village of the Hundred Villages Enriching the People Project. At present, standardized health centers, information networks, comprehensive cultural activity centers and convenience supermarkets have all been built. The village seized the opportunity and took the initiative to actively promote the relocation and village and community construction projects. At present, the project has entered the final stage and the whole village has moved in.

The resettlement in the reservoir area of Xiaolangdi project is divided into three stages. The first phase involves 46,000 immigrants below the altitude of 180m, and is affected. From 1995 to the end of June 1997. The second phase of the project covers the elevation range of 180-265m and the affected 126000 immigrants, starting from 1997 and ending in 2000. The third stage, covering the range of 265-275 meters above sea level and the affected 6,543,800+7,000 immigrants, started in 2000 and was completed in 2003. The first phase of resettlement was completed as planned at the end of June, 1997, which created conditions for river closure on schedule. After the progress of river closure and resettlement was delayed on 1998, the Ministry of Water Resources, Henan Provincial Government and Shanxi Provincial Government held a joint meeting in Beijing on10.5 to arrange resettlement work and solve related problems. On June 30th, the immigrants below 2 15m elevation moved out of the reservoir area as planned, with 45,000 immigrants, creating conditions for water storage. Before the end of 200 1, the resettlement below the elevation of 265 meters was completed, which enabled the Xiaolangdi project to play a normal role in flood control.
