The application for the first Canadian visa center in Hong Kong was officially opened last week. Ian Boyne, Consul General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macau, personally presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the center.
The new visa application center is located at Room 706-08, 7th floor, 33 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. J. Ian Burchett, Consul General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, Si Nuo (Immigration Department) and Bernard Vijaykumar, Director of VFS Global North Asia, presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The center is operated by rongxing visa consulting service co., ltd.
The Canadian Visa Application Center is an application center authorized by the Canadian government, which provides applications for short-term residence permits for Hong Kong people and travel documents for Hong Kong residents with Canadian permanent residence status.
The Canadian Visa Application Center is authorized to provide applicants with administrative work related to visa applications, such as receiving visa applications, paying visa fees and returning passports (travel documents that have been examined and sealed in envelopes).
The visa application center can also assist the visa office of Immigration Canada to arrange the time and date for the applicant to interview the visa officer. The decision to issue a visa is completely reviewed and decided by the immigration officer of Immigration Canada. Audit standards shall be handled in accordance with the provisions of Canadian immigration laws and regulations. The visa application center cannot change or influence the visa results, nor can it provide suggestions related to the visa review results.
The service of the Canadian visa application center is not mandatory. The same visa application service can also be handled directly through the Canadian Consulate General in Hong Kong or through the online application system (E-App) of the Canadian Immigration Service.
The Canadian visa application center is open from 9: 00 am to 5: 00 pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays). Visa processing time is from 9 am to 4 pm, and passport collection time is from 9 am to 5 pm.
