When I went to Hunyuan, I only saw Hengshan Mountain and Hangkong Temple. Unfortunately, we missed the scenic spot.

Hunyuan, affiliated to Datong City, Shanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Datong City. Hun River, a tributary of Sanggan River, originated in the county seat, hence its name Hunyuan. As for Hunyuan, many people know it because of Hengshan Mountain and Beiyue Hanging Temple, one of the "Five Mountains". Some people even only know Hengshan Mountain and Hangkong Temple, but they don't know Hunyuan. The tour only talks about Hengshan Mountain and Hangkong Temple. But unfortunately, there are still many scenic spots in Hunyuan that have not been seen and missed!

In addition to the two famous scenic spots, Hengshan Mountain in Beiyue and Hangkong Temple, there are also scenic spots in Hunyuan, such as Qianfo Mountain, Lotus Mountain, Yuanjue Temple Tower, Tangtou Hot Spring, the Great Hall of Jinyun Temple in Jingzhuang, Ai 'an Temple and Guiqiantang.

Thousand Buddha Ridges. Qianfoling is located in the southwest of Longzui Village, Qianfoling Township, Hunyuan, 30 kilometers away from Hunyuan County, with an area of about 14.2 square kilometers. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, it is magnificent and is known as "Little Huangshan Mountain beyond the Great Wall". The south peak of Qianfo Mountain looks like Huashan cactus; The rolling Jiguan Rock is like Zhurong Peak of Hengshan Mountain; The sharp Liang Shi in the west is like the top of Mount Tai of the Jade Emperor; Sun Bin Zhai and Pangjuanling, pointing to the northern sky, are swaying among the clouds, just like Huangshan Yunfeng. Turtle stones, camel stones and other strange stones on the peak ridge are even more vivid and interesting.

There is a natural rock on the top of the Thousand Buddha Ridge, on which is built a small wooden imitation brick tower more than 7 meters high, engraved with four powerful characters of "Thousand Buddha Pagoda". There are three caves on the south side of the rock under the tower, which are called "Thousand Buddha Cave". There are large stone buddhas nearly two meters high carved in front of the cave and on the east and west sides, and thousands of small stone buddhas carved around the cave.

Diaowogou Village, Lianhua Mountain is located in Xingzhuang Village, Wangzhuangbao Town, Hunyuan (a natural village, which has been relocated as a whole), about 40 kilometers away from Hunyuan City. Lianhua Mountain has beautiful peaks, rugged rocks, waterfalls in streams and towering old trees. Lotus peak, the main peak, is slim and graceful, surrounded by peaks like unfolded lotus leaves, and there are paths leading to the peak. The original ancient village on Lotus Peak was called Lotus Village. It is said that there are heroes who once took the mountain as the king and robbed the rich to help the poor. In the Qing Dynasty, a local rich man, Li Jiyuan, turned Lianhua Village into a "summer resort", and whenever it was hot in summer, he came here to relax. Therefore, Lotus Village is widely known. Now there are no traces of shanzhai or "summer resort". There is a temple named Haicang Temple at the foot of Lianhua Mountain.

Jingzhuang Jinyun Temple Yuanjue Temple Tower, Dazhong Hall and Ai 'an Temple are all national key cultural relics protection units. Among them, Yuanjue Temple Tower and Ai 'an Temple are located in Hunyuan City, and Dayun Temple in Jingzhuang Village, Jingzhuang Township, Hunyuan, so I won't introduce them too much here.

Tangtou Hot Spring is located in Tangtou Village, Wangzhuangbao Town, hun yuan, 45 kilometers away from Hunyuan County. Tangtou Hot Spring has a recorded history of over 265,438+000 years, which was discovered and utilized as early as the Eastern Han Dynasty. During the Northern Wei Dynasty, a royal palace was built as a place for royal bathing and entertainment. According to records, Daowudi of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Wen Chengdi, Emperor Xiaowen and Jing Zong of the Liao Dynasty all lived in hot springs. Tangtou sanatorium exists, but its scale and reception capacity are limited.

Located in Lingyunkou Village, Peicun Township, Hunyuan, Guiqiantang Xiaopandao Village (a natural village with only two families) is now open as a scenic spot across the Grand Canyon in the west. There are three holes in the root of the roadside in the scenic spot, and a huge stone stands next to it, which reads the word "return to the former". This is Guiqiantang. As a scenic spot, Guiqiantang really has nothing to see, but its owner is very famous.

Liu Qi (1203- 1250), whose name is Uncle Jing, was a student of Jin Dynasty. More than two years before the subjugation of the Jin Dynasty, Liu Qi built a "Gui Qian Tang" and wrote the famous book Gui Qian Zhi, many of which were later compiled by the Yuan Dynasty. The famous saying, "Ten years of cold window, no one asked, became famous in one fell swoop", inspired countless students in past dynasties to study hard for ten years in cold window, which came from the seventh volume of Liu Qi's Return to Qian Zhi.
