In Xinyang, China's top ten livable city with beautiful scenery and fragrant Maojian, there stands the No.1 Primary School in Pingqiao District, Xinyang City, which has a long history of running schools and profound cultural heritage and is known as the "Xinyang Basic Education Business Card". Pingqiao No.1 Primary School was founded in 1949, and was named Garage Primary School, Pingqiao Village Primary School, Xinyang No.1 Primary School and Xinyang Experimental Primary School. After the original Xinyang County 1997 zoning, it was changed from Xinyang County Experimental Primary School to Pingqiao District Experimental Primary School (also known as Pingqiao District No.1 Primary School), which belongs to the district-level key primary school.
