The French National Assembly passed the draft of the new "Immigration Law" proposed by Interior Minister Cazeneuve on July 22, 2015. The most important change is the establishment of a multi-year residence permit with a minimum validity period of two years and a maximum validity period of two years. The duration is 4 years.

On March 7, 2016, the relevant bill was officially promulgated and required to be issued by October 28 this year. Police stations across France will apply it no later than November 1.
