Born in Nanyang, Henan, he is a senior engineer, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a member of the Chinese Science Popularization Writers Association and a member of the Science and Literature Committee, and a member of the Henan Writers Association. Deputy Chairman of the Nanyang Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League. Graduating from high school in 1966 coincided with the catastrophe of the Cultural Revolution. In 1968, he went to the countryside and spent three years as an educated youth in Xinye Wulong Commune. In 1971, he worked as a wood molder at the Yanggoushu Iron Mine of Yunyang Steel Plant. In 1974, he was transferred to Nanyang Diesel Engine Plant. In 1978, he got on the last train with excellent results and was admitted to Xi'an Jiaotong University. After graduating in 1982, he was assigned to the Nanyang Oilfield Petroleum Machinery Factory. He once served as deputy director and senior engineer of the factory's research institute. As the academic leader of this unit, he presided over the development of the self-propelled chassis of large workover rigs and the chassis of desert well workover rigs, which have reached the domestic and international advanced levels, and won the ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress Award, of which the latter is a major national project. In 1993, he accidentally broke into the science fiction literary world because his 10-year-old daughter was forced to tell stories. His debut novel "Adam Returns" won the first prize in the 1993 National Science Fiction Essay Competition. Later, he won the Galaxy Award from the 97 International Science Fiction Conference. So far, he has published 40 short stories and 5 novels, totaling more than 2 million words.
