What has been added to the new edition of China?

The South China Sea, the eastern islands of Taiwan Province Province, southern Tibet, Aksai Chin and Heixiazi Island have been added to the new map of China.

The latest map released by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China focuses on the division of the South China Sea, the Sino-Indian border and Heixiazi Island. Change the original nine-segment line into ten-segment line, and the revised map can cover 90% of the South China Sea, covering a wider geographical area.

Compared with the previously submitted map, a new line has appeared to the east of Taiwan Province Island, including Taiwan Province Province. Apart from the sea area, China also stands firm on the territorial sovereignty of land, and clearly classifies the disputed areas of southern Tibet and Aksai Chin between China and India as China's territory. As for the previous agreement between China and Russia to split the Black Box Island into two parts, China also directly incorporated the whole island into the national territory.

Changes in the new map:

Compared with the 2022 standard map, the new standard map has increased to 380, and the reference map has increased to 166 1. Like the 2020 edition, 202 1 edition and 2022 edition, the number of self-help maps remains at 4 sets.

The standard map is compiled according to the national boundary drawing standards of China and other countries in the world. It can be used for news propaganda, book illustrations, advertising background pictures, artwork design basemaps, etc. Can also be used as a reference map for compiling public maps. The public can browse and download the standard map for free. When using the standard map directly, the drawing approval number needs to be marked.

The standard map has two data formats, JPG and EPS. The map formats are divided into 64-kai, 32-kai, 16-kai, 8-kai, 4-kai and folio. Map content editing changes (including enlargement, reduction, cutting) need to be sent to the competent department of natural resources for review before they can be used publicly.
