Debate Competition: Should We Continue Space Exploration? I'm on the opposing side.

Exploration is necessary, but not now, just like a crawling baby running out to meet the bad guys.

We have just been able to go into space, but we can't stand in space yet, let alone arrange military defense, space operations and space immigrants in space.

Exploration has two results. First, if we find a planet with alien life, and the civilization of the other side is not as high as ours, we can choose civilized and friendly exchanges. If we find a civilization more advanced than ours, as described in Three-body, then we may be inviting wolves into the house.

Some people may ask why advanced civilization didn't find us. First of all, Gao Wenming may be developing space warfare, preparing for space military, improving its space combat capability, and preparing for space exploration and space immigration. Once found, it means it can fight. Second, as described in "Three-body", it is difficult for Gao Wenming to find a grain of sand in the desert and a planet in the vast universe. But if a grain of sand signals itself, it will be different if it is found.

At present, if the civilization of the other side is not as high as ours, one thing is that we can't learn anything, and the other is that we can't immigrate to the planet. And if the civilization of the other side is higher than ours, and we can't fight, then what can we ask for peaceful development, only to be eliminated or enslaved. Don't bet everything on each other's good, especially all mankind. Neither result is good.

Exploring the universe is no longer the business of those so-called high-level and scientists, but the life and death of all mankind. Before there is any self-protection capability, the space combat capability mentioned here, if interstellar conflict really occurs, is not a simple missile or nuclear weapon battle.

What we have to do is to strengthen ourselves, build up the earth's space protection capability and space combat capability, and then spread and expand safely.
