Nanwan Reservoir is famous for its remarkable comprehensive benefits and beautiful scenery. It is a national forest park, a national AAAA scenic spot, a national water conservancy scenic spot and a provincial-level scenic spot. It is known as the "Pearl of South Henan" and the first lake in the Central Plains. The Nanwan Lake Scenic Area centered on the reservoir is 20 kilometers wide from east to west, 50 kilometers long from north to south, and the water area is 70 kilometers. It has gathered many natural and cultural landscapes such as forests, islands, mountains, lakes, ponds, waterfalls, historical sites and so on.
