Yunyang District is located in the north of Shiyan City, Hubei Province (a small part of the west of Shiyan City), between the southern slope of Qinling Mountain and the extension of Daba Mountain, upstream and downstream of Hanshui River. Yunyang district is located on the edge of Hubei, Henan and Shaanxi provinces, on the upper and lower reaches of the Han River, and on the gentle slope of the residual vein extending eastward from Bashan Mountain in Qinling Mountains.
