I graduated from a second university a year and a half ago, and my English is not good. I got a 4.5 in IELTS once. I want to apply for half-year language study in Canada. Can the visa be approved?

If your purpose is to eventually obtain Canadian immigration status through studying abroad, it is recommended that you apply for courses at public institutions and go through the SPP program, which eliminates the need to explain the source of funds and facilitates obtaining a visa.

After you graduate from an undergraduate degree, you can consider applying for an admission letter from a local public college’s postgraduate diploma program to apply for a visa, and then decide whether to switch to a junior college program when you arrive there. The requirement for a junior college is usually an IELTS score of 6, with no single subject less than 5.5. If you have an IELTS score that meets the requirements, you can directly enroll in a junior college course without taking a language course. Even if you do not have the IELTS score that meets the requirements for major admission, you can still consider applying for dual admission of language + major. After completing the language course in the local area, you can enter the major.

Complete at least a 2-year college course. After graduation, you can obtain a 3-year work visa. After working for one year, you can obtain immigration status through the experience category.
