According to relevant public information, the water diversion project in central Yunnan is a strategic basic project for sustainable development in Yunnan Province. After the project is completed and put into operation, the water shortage problem in central Yunnan can be fundamentally solved, and the economic, social and ecological benefits are remarkable. From the pumping station to the head of the main canal, the water conveyance project starts from Wangchengpo, Shigu Town, Lijiang, passes through Lijiang, Dali, Chuxiong, Kunming and Yuxi, and ends at Xinpobei, Honghe Prefecture. The total length of the water transmission line is about 664.24 kilometers. Among them, the water diversion project in central Yunnan has completed an investment of 5.739 billion yuan, and major water conservancy projects such as Dehou Reservoir, Agang Reservoir, Chemabi Reservoir, Chaishitan Irrigation Area and Maliba Irrigation Area have entered the final stage of investment.
