Which country’s brand is Patek Philippe?
Made in Switzerland. As early as the 16th century, the extensive and profound watchmaking culture had sprouted in Geneva. The early watchmakers in Geneva were almost all fanatical craftsmen who tried to make their creations perfect in appearance and performance. This spirit of excellence is passed down from generation to generation. In 1838, this spirit laid the foundation for Antoine de Patek Philippe to start his own business. A few years later, watchmaker Adricn Philippe joined his company, and soon after, together they changed the history of watch manufacturing. They created various new inventions and obtained many patents, such as crown winding and comparison devices. It has set many records with the precision of its mechanical movements, which no one has ever broken. The factory that produces Patek Philippe was built in 1839. The average retail price per watch ranges from $20,000 to $30,000. They are one of the last truly independent watchmakers in Switzerland, producing their own watches from start to finish. It takes 10 years to train a Patek Philippe watchmaker. The sign of becoming a watch-loving aristocrat is owning a Patek Philippe watch. The noble artistic realm and expensive production materials have shaped Patek Philippe’s enduring brand value. One day in 1838, the first Patek Philippe was born in an ordinary factory in Geneva, Switzerland. On May 1, 1839, two Polish immigrants Antoine Norbert de Patek (businessman) and Franciszek Czapek (watchmaker) jointly established the "Patek, Czapek & Cie" company in Geneva. In 1844, Patek Philippe met French watchmaker Jean-Adrien Philippe in Paris. At that time, Mr. Jean-Adrien Philippe showed him an innovative system for winding and setting the time through the crown. In 1845, Capek decided to leave the company and start his own business. The company name was changed to "Patek Philippe". In 1851, Mr. Philippe officially joined the company, and the company was renamed "Patek Philippe & Cie". In 1901, the company changed its name again to "Ancienne Manufacturing D'Horlogerie Patek Philippe & CIE, S.A.".
