For scientific and technological talents engaged in high-tech and new product development introduced by relevant departments in Yunnan Province, professional and technical personnel with associate higher vocational education or above (including associate higher vocational education) (the original relevant certificates provided by relevant provincial departments or personnel departments at or above the county level shall be presented), and their children's household registration will move to Yunnan Province with either parent, they can sign up for the general college entrance examination in Yunnan Province.

The Interim Provisions also provide for the admission of foreign candidates to the college entrance examination. Anyone who has moved to Yunnan Province for three years, studied in a high school in Yunnan Province for three years, has a student status and passed the examination results, and is not restricted when signing up for the college entrance examination in Yunnan Province; Those who have not attended schools in Yunnan Province for three years in high school can only be admitted to universities in Yunnan Province. The "Interim Provisions" require all secondary schools to inform candidates who do not meet the registration requirements as soon as possible to return to the provinces where their original household registration is located to take the college entrance examination, and those who falsify their student status will be held accountable.
