The registered permanent residence of active servicemen shall not be brought to the army or home after enlistment, and shall be cancelled before enlistment. Legal Basis According to Article 11 of the Regulations on Household Registration in People's Republic of China (PRC), before enlisting in the army, a citizen who has been enlisted for active service shall go through the formalities of emigration registration with the household registration authority of his habitual residence and cancel his household registration, and shall not issue a certificate of emigration by himself or the family responsible for the draft notice.
