How to cancel the account?

Legal analysis: the cancellation of the account should be presented to the local public security department with relevant materials. Account cancellation is generally divided into three types: joining the army, settling abroad and death cancellation.

1. Joining the army shall be handled with the household registration book and the citizen's notice of enlistment. Citizens who have been enlisted for active service, including students admitted to military academies, shall go to the local police station to cancel their accounts with the enlistment notice or the roster of enlisted personnel provided by the People's Armed Forces Department of the county (city, district) before enlisting, and shall not be issued with a transfer certificate. Individuals who have not declared their cancellation, and who have joined the army after investigation and verification by the police station, must cancel their permanent residence.

2. Citizens who go abroad or settle in Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan Province Province shall be dealt with by the notice of cancellation of their accounts issued by the entry-exit department, and those who have already applied for China people's identity cards shall be confiscated. If the whole family moves out, the household registration will be confiscated. Those who go abroad temporarily, leave the country or study at their own expense will only go through the formalities of going abroad and will not cancel their accounts.

3. Death shall be handled by household registration book, ID card, medical certificate of death or death appraisal certificate, and the ID card shall be confiscated. To cancel the household registration, you need to go through the following procedures:

1, to cancel the death, you need to submit the household registration book and the hospital death diagnosis certificate (judicial department death appraisal), and go through the relevant procedures such as cancellation;

2. For those who have already joined the army to cancel their active service, they need to register for moving out and apply for cancellation.

Article 8 If a citizen dies, the head of the household, relatives, dependents or neighbors shall report the death registration to the household registration authority and cancel the household registration within one month before the burial in cities and rural areas. If a citizen dies in his temporary residence, the household registration organ of the temporary residence shall notify the household registration organ of the permanent residence to cancel his household registration.

Article 11 Before serving in active service, a citizen conscripted shall declare his/her emigration registration to the household registration authority where his/her permanent residence is located, cancel his/her household registration, and no migration permit shall be issued.

Article 12 After the arrested criminal is informed of his family members, the arresting organ shall notify the permanent residence registration organ to cancel his account.
