first step

U.S. citizens should submit the I- 130 form to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Office in their residential area. If American applicants have lived in China for more than six months, they can submit their applications to the immigration offices in Beijing and Guangzhou according to the jurisdiction of their residence.

Second step

If the application is submitted in the United States, the approved I- 130 will be sent directly to the National Visa Center (NVC).

Then send it to the US Consulate General in Guangzhou. The time from the visa center to Guangzhou is about 3-4 months. However, due to the clearance procedures of China Customs, there will be some delays.

DS-230 PDF format). Please fill in the form according to the instructions and send it back to NVC together with the required materials. The faster you hand in the forms and related materials, the faster your application will be processed.

If your I- 130 was submitted in China, your immigration application will be sent directly to the Guangzhou Consulate without sending it to NVC. After receiving the documents, Guangzhou Consulate will send an explanatory package to your beneficiary.

Third step

After receiving the file, Guangzhou Consulate will first review the file to ensure that the applicant's information is complete. If there is a lack of material,

Fourth step

If the visa center has contacted you and you choose to participate in this project, you don't have to send any physical documents to the visa center.

Doing so will delay the processing of your application. At that time, the visa center will send all relevant guidelines to all the mailboxes you provided by email.

Please process your application according to all the guidelines on electronic submission issued by the visa center, and bring the originals of all relevant materials to the consulate during the visa interview.
