How long can I go abroad after I get out of prison?

Legal analysis: After serving a sentence, like ordinary people, you can go abroad normally. But if you want to emigrate, you can't. Immigrants must have evidence of a crime. Except for the following five kinds of people who are not allowed to leave the country, others do not need any conditions to travel abroad in principle.

(1) Defendants and criminal suspects in criminal cases identified by public security organs or people's procuratorates and people's courts;

(two) the people's court informed that there are unresolved civil cases that cannot leave the country;

(3) Being sentenced to a penalty and serving a sentence;

(4) Being reeducated through labor;

(five) the relevant competent authorities of the State Council believe that leaving the country will cause harm to national security or cause great losses to national interests.

Legal basis: Article 9 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Exit and Entry Administration. China citizens shall apply for passports or other travel documents when leaving or entering the country. China citizens who want to go to other countries or regions also need to obtain visas or other entry permits. However, unless the China government has signed visa exemption agreements with other governments or the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provide otherwise. China citizens who leave or enter the country as seafarers and work on foreign ships shall apply for a seaman's certificate according to law.
