How many people are there in Zhuang nationality?

Zhuang nationality is the most populous minority in China.

Zhuang is the most populous minority in People's Republic of China (PRC), with a population of over170,000. Widely distributed in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in southeastern Yunnan Province. In addition, the Buyi and Zhuang people in Guizhou are very close, speak the same language and have the same customs, and the boundary between Buyi and Zhuang people is based on the provincial boundary between Guangxi and Guizhou. Obviously, Buyi and Zhuang are different legal names of the same nation. However, there is almost no substantial difference between the Dai Nong people in Vietnam and the Nanzhuang speakers in Guangxi, which can be regarded as an extension of the Nanzhuang speakers in northern Vietnam. Based on the phenomenon that Zhuang, Buyi and Dai farmers all call themselves "old" (meaning "we"), in recent years, many netizens of Zhuang and Buyi in China have called them "Liao people" or "Liao people". Beiliao Group:

Zhuang language group in northern Guangxi: It is distributed in Youjiang and Yongjiang areas in western and central Guangxi, with a population of about100000.

Yunnan Sha people: mainly distributed in the southeast of Yunnan Province, their language and culture are close to the northern dialect group of Zhuang nationality in Guangxi, with a population of about 300,000.

Buyi nationality in Guizhou: mainly distributed in the south of Guizhou Province, it is basically homogeneous with Zhuang nationality (also known as Buyi nationality) in the northwest of Guangxi, with a population of about 3 million.

Buyi people in Vietnam: mainly distributed in northern Vietnam, with branches such as Buyi, Buna and Guizhou. Because the language, cultural customs and habits are close to the local Dai farmers, they belong to the disadvantaged group (population less than 65438+ 10,000) and have basically assimilated into Dai farmers.

Nanliao Group:

Southern Zhuang dialect group in Guangxi: It is distributed in Youjiang and southern Yongjiang in western and central Guangxi, with a population of more than 6 million.

Yunnan farmers: mainly distributed in the southeast of Yunnan Province, with a population of about 700,000. Their language and culture are close to Dejing and Zuojiang dialect areas of Zhuang language group in southern Guangxi and Dai Nong people in Vietnam.

Dai people in Vietnam: widely distributed in northern provinces of Vietnam, with Gaoping and Lang Son provinces as the largest, with a population of more than 2 million. There is almost no substantive difference between the Dai Nong people in Guangxi and the Nan Zhuang speakers, which can be regarded as an extension of the Nan Zhuang speakers in northern Vietnam.

Tuliao Group:

Tuliao in Yunnan: It is mainly distributed in Wenshan, Maguan, Malipo and other valley areas of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the southeast of Yunnan Province, calling itself "Budai", which is different from the general Zhuang nationality in language and culture. The total population is about 65438+ 10,000.

Yao nationality is one of the ethnic minorities with a long history in China. The population is about 2.63 million (2000).

Most of the Yao people are distributed in Guangxi, and there are also many in Guangdong, Yunnan and Xiangxi. They live across borders and are also distributed in northern Vietnam. During the period of Chinese exclusion in Southeast Asian countries, some of them immigrated to the United States, Canada, Mexico, France and other places.
