Macao naturalization policy

Mainland residents may apply to settle in Hong Kong or Macao under any of the following circumstances: (1) One of the spouses has settled in Hong Kong or Macao; You can also apply to accompany1children under 8 years old. (2) Having reached the age of 18 but under the age of 60, having parents who have settled in Hong Kong and Macao and have reached the age of 60, and having no children in Hong Kong and Macao, and needing their care. (3) Those who have reached the age of 60 and have no children in the Mainland, and need to take refuge in children over the age of 18 who have settled in Hong Kong or Macao. (four) under the age of eighteen, need to take refuge in Hong Kong or Macao parents. (5) Children of permanent residents of Hong Kong or Macao.

1. Documents proving Macao citizenship:

1. Travel document (passport).

2. Third country documents.

3. Birth certificate (in Chinese and English).

4. Marriage notarization (required for married people) is valid for 6 months (1 copy/family 1 copy).

5. No criminal certificate/criminal record (16 years old or above) is valid for 6 months.

6. Bachelor degree certificate or above, notarized certificate of education.

Second, the nationality identification procedure

1, submit my relevant nationality certificate;

2. Submit my written explanation on nationality and corresponding certificates;

3. If the county and municipal public security bureaus meet the requirements of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China after examination, they shall recognize their nationality and go through relevant formalities;

4. If the county and municipal public security bureaus fail to comply with the provisions of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China after examination, they will not recognize their relevant national passports and deal with them accordingly.

Legal basis: Article 9 of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China. China citizens who have settled in foreign countries voluntarily become or acquire foreign nationality will automatically lose their China nationality.
