Landscape composition of ancient buildings in hometown
It turns out that this is related to several existing ancient buildings in Zhenwuchang. There are the most concentrated groups of Hakka immigrant guilds in Chongqing, namely Tang Tian Palace in Fujian, Nanhua Palace in Guangdong, Wanshou Palace in Jiangxi and Wangxiangtai. According to the elders, the Hakka Immigration Hall was built by mainlanders. A hundred years ago, Zhenwuchang was a water wharf on Qihe River, with many cargo ships and a prosperous population. This is a land of feng shui. Many mainlanders moved here to live, and they built these Hakka guildhalls for the convenience of their hometown people in the same province. All have the characteristics of southern architecture, simple and solemn. I saw the stone door frames on both sides of these halls, with vigorous and simple couplets, thick columns, broken walls, carved panes and curved high walls, which seemed to show us the excitement and prosperity of that year.
On the hill to the east of the town house, the Hakkas built a building called "Wangxiangtai". What a poetic name! Reminiscent of the famous sentence of Wang Wei, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty: "Being a stranger alone, I miss my relatives twice every festive season." Hometown is the place where we take root and sprout, where our feelings are pinned, and where we will never forget. The homesickness of Hakkas has aroused my love for my hometown.
There used to be several other Hakka hall buildings, but they were demolished 30 years ago for building new houses. What a pity! Zhenwu Primary School, for example, was once the former site of Sanyuan Temple, the largest ancient temple in Zhenwu Field. Many people over forty still remember what that building looks like. It is said that three foreign monks raised funds to build it. The story of "three monks have no water to eat" is a household name, but the three monks here are United and friendly, not only repairing the magnificent building, but also digging a deep well in the back. Well water is cool and delicious, and it still benefits hundreds of teachers and students in Zhenwu Primary School. During the Anti-Japanese War, it used to be a middle school, and an international student later became a famous astronomer in China. A few years ago, he returned to the real martial arts field and recalled the footprints of his youth. This program is also broadcast on CCTV 12.
In addition to the Hakka Guild Hall, there is also a "Majialou" that has to be mentioned. On the street along the river, there is a three-story building mainly in gray, white and black. It is square, and the corridors of each floor are lined with tall arched buildings, which is a typical European style. The whole manor is surrounded by carved buildings, large bungalows and high walls, which is magnificent and accounts for a quarter of Zhenwu Old Street. This is Ma's house, which was built at 1920. It is the only existing European-style building in Jiangjin and the landmark building in Wuchang. The stone under the fence is badly worn, as if telling the vicissitudes of time; Bullet holes in the fence are faintly visible, as if confirming the legend of that year. ...
Ah! The ancient buildings in my hometown, you let me know the history of my hometown, and you won honor for my hometown. I'm proud of you!
