Liuzhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary school profile

Guangxi Liuzhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School was established in 1940, which belongs to the Agriculture Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a national secondary vocational education reform and development demonstration project construction school, a national key secondary vocational school, an autonomous region demonstration school and an autonomous region demonstration characteristic secondary vocational school.

There are animal husbandry and veterinary, special breeding, livestock and poultry production and disease prevention, pet management and other majors, of which animal husbandry and veterinary specialty is the only national key construction demonstration specialty in Guangxi.

Guangxi Liuzhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School is located at No.45 Shatang Street, Liubei District, Liuzhou City, with convenient living and transportation. Guangxi Liuzhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School covers an area of 33 1 mu, with a total construction area of 106480 square meters. Teaching, books, sports and living facilities are complete, and there is a central garden integrating squares, fountains, rockeries, artificial lakes and sculptures. The campus is an ideal place to study, with trees and elegant environment.

The school-running mode is flexible and diverse, including full-time secondary vocational education, higher vocational education (2+3, 3+2) and undergraduate education (3+4), short-term training, adult on-the-job and correspondence college and undergraduate education, and joint education with Guangxi University, Northwest A&F University, Huazhong Agricultural University and Guangxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical College. It is a training base for employment of trade union workers in Guangxi, a designated training base for re-employment in Liuzhou and a training base for immigrants in Guangxi reservoir area.

The school has a strong faculty, with full-time teachers 102, 27 "double-qualified" teachers, and 5569 students as of 20 13. From 200 1 to 20 13, the school undertook 26 teaching reform research projects of Guangxi Education Department, Guangxi Education Institute, National Agricultural Vocational and Technical Education Research Association and Liuzhou Vocational Education Research Institute, and 35 textbooks were edited by teachers or participated in national planning. From 2007 to 20 13, teachers published 282 papers.
