How many cities are there in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region?

* * * governs five prefecture-level cities: Yinchuan, Shizuishan, Wuzhong, Guyuan and Zhongwei.

Yinchuan: It is the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, a national historical and cultural city, and one of the important central cities in northwest China.

Zhongwei: Located in the middle and west of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, it won the Dubai International Best Model Award for Improving the Living Environment and the Best Green Eco-city in China.

Guyuan City: Located in the south of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, it is the sub-central city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and located at the northwest edge of China Loess Plateau.

Shizuishan City: Located in the northernmost part of Ningxia, adjacent to Ordos Platform in the east, with superior geographical position, between Ningdong and Meng Xi's 100 million tons of coal fields, it is an important node city of Yinlan Economic Belt, Ningxia Yellow River Economic Zone and Ningmeng Shaanxi-Wu Golden Triangle Economic Zone.

Wuzhong: Located in the middle of Ningxia, it was originally the resident of Guling area and Jinji County, and located in the hinterland of Ningxia Plain. Guyuan City is located in the center of the triangle composed of Xi, Lanzhou and Yinchuan. It is one of the five prefecture-level cities in Ningxia and the only one that does not follow the Yellow River.
