Overview of Dezhou Jianhe Wetland Park

As one of the three major water systems in Dezhou City, the Jianhe Wetland Park project was officially launched in March 2009. Organized and implemented by the Economic Development Zone Management Committee, this project is the first Haihe River Basin demonstration project approved by the State Maritime Commission. The construction of the whole project is divided into four parts: sewage treatment, water landscape, wetland landscape and sightseeing picking. The concrete measures are to widen the water surface, create wetlands, integrate trees, strengthen nodes, improve supporting facilities, and form a riverside park, which will endow the river with ecological and landscape functions while ensuring its original flood discharge and drainage functions.

There are four kinds of evergreen trees: cedar, black pine, cypress and boxwood. Lianas and ground cover plants include Yingchun, Rose, Lingxiao and Parthenocissus quinquefolia. There are many kinds of perennial flowers and seasonal flowers 10, and aquatic plants 10.

Combined with the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure on the east bank of Jianhe River, a thousand acres of sightseeing picking area has been built, forming a natural landscape pattern of "evergreen in four seasons and blooming and bearing fruit in three seasons".
