The Life of Zhang Naitong

Zhang Naitong was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province on July 17th, 1934. After graduating from Yangzhou Middle School in 1952, he was admitted to the Department of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University. Therefore, the choice of electrical machinery system was influenced by the propaganda slogan of * * * productism at that time, "* * * productism is the Soviet regime plus electrification". In 1953, he was transferred to the Radio Department of Nanjing Institute of Technology (now Southeast University) due to the adjustment of departments. After graduation in 1956, he was assigned to work in Harbin Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as Harbin Institute of Technology) on the northern border. From October, 1956 to August, 1958, he studied in Tsinghua University Radio Department as a teaching assistant.

After returning to Harbin Institute of Technology, he served as deputy director and director of teaching and research section, deputy director and director of radio department, vice president and dean of Aerospace Institute, and director of Institute of Communication Technology. He is one of the main founders of Harbin Institute of Technology's Radio Department, Aerospace Institute and Institute of Communication Technology. At present, he is honorary director, professor and doctoral supervisor of Communication Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, academician of China Academy of Engineering, director of china institute of communications, standing editorial board member of Journal of Communication, part-time researcher of the Third and Fifth Institute of Aerospace, part-time professor of Southeast University, member of the pre-research expert group of the second and third phases of lunar exploration, and invited member of Harbin Expert Advisory Committee.

The command, control and data communication system of China tactical missile, which was researched by Zhang Naitong, has reached the advanced level of similar systems abroad. He also presided over the successful development of over-the-horizon data link. The above research results have been transformed into equipment. Based on a number of achievements, it won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress in 2 (ranking first). At first, the domestic digital signaling MPT1327 trunking mobile communication system was developed, which broke the monopoly of China private mobile communication system market by foreign countries. In 1999, he won the first prize of the Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense and the third prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranking first). In 2, the Communication Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, which he led, was selected by the Ministry of Information Industry as the overall leader of the development of digital trunking mobile communication system in China. Now he is in charge of the research task of the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation-the theory and key technology of ultra-wideband high-speed wireless access and the national defense "863" project. Since 1986, Zhang Naitong * * * has won one second prize and three third prizes for national scientific and technological progress, five first prizes and eight second prizes at ministerial level.

He has won honorary titles such as outstanding scientific and technological workers in Harbin, advanced workers in the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" of the Ministry of Space, outstanding teachers in the province, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, advanced workers in the State Education Commission and the State Science and Technology Commission.
