Do I need a visa to work in Macau?

Mainlanders definitely need a visa to go, but you must have an invitation letter from your employer in Macau and apply for a tourist visa through the Immigration Bureau. However, there is a time limit, and you can't go to Macao to apply for a basic visa after the time limit;

The conditions for working in Macao are:

1. Students studying in institutions of higher learning in Macao or Hong Kong approved by the national education authorities;

2. Those who go to Macao to teach, cooperate in research and work in Hong Kong in the name of senior labor services apply to work in Macao's literary and sports institutions;

3. To apply for training in Macao, and have obtained the Training Entry Permit issued by the Macao Immigration Department;

4. Mainland residents are allowed to work, study or receive training in Macao for private reasons, and their mainland family members have obtained the "entry permit" issued by the Macao Immigration Department;

5. Those who are sent back to the mainland for illegal activities in Hong Kong and Macao will be strictly restricted from applying for going to Hong Kong and Macao again.
