Hunan Macheng immigrants Nanchong

During the Qing Dynasty, a large number of people from Huguang and Jiangxi (mainly Hunan) moved to Sichuan. That's what many of my classmates wrote in their genealogy. I am also from Hunan, and we have lived in Sichuan for hundreds of years. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, there was a massacre in Sichuan, and the population dropped sharply. According to historical records, there were about 4 million people in Sichuan in the late Ming Dynasty, and Zhang killed nearly 3 million of them. After the Zhang zhi rebellion, there was basically no one in Sichuan. The Qing court had to move the population of Huguang back to Sichuan. But this historical fact is controversial, and many people doubt its authenticity (including me). The real murderer should be Manchu!
