What materials do I need to apply for a Finnish tourist visa when traveling to Finland?

1. for short-term (class c) visas, please refer to "Schengen visa".

2. The application for long-term (D-type) visa and long-term residence permit must be submitted to the Finnish Embassy in China in person. The decision to apply for a long-term residence permit is made by the Finnish Immigration Bureau, and the Finnish Embassy in China cannot provide consulting services to the applicant. After the long-term residence permit card arrives at the Finnish Embassy in China, the Embassy will inform the applicant. Foreign residents who need to live in Finland for three months or more should hold residence permits. Those who work in Finland and live for less than three months also need to apply for a residence permit. On January 1, 212, the biometric residence permit card with fingerprint information was launched. Applicants should prepare the required materials according to different types of residence permits:

(1) Visiting relatives/friends (family members)

1) Only spouses (including cohabiting spouses and homosexuals) of people living in Finland and children under the age of 18 under their guardianship are considered as family members.

4) If the spouse of the applicant is a foreigner who has lived in Finland for a long time, the following materials need to be prepared:

A. Two application forms (OLE_PH1) filled out by the applicant and signed by the applicant.

B. Two pages (OLEL_PK) attached to the photo of the residence permit application form, and two standard passport photos of the last six months are attached and posted in the form.

C. two copies of the form (PK1_PLUS) filled out by the spouse living in Finland.

D. two copies of the applicant's valid passport, the first page and signature page of the passport and the visa page.

e. notarized and double-certified marriage certificate, original and two copies.

F. two copies of the passport and residence permit of the spouse in Finland. If there are other relevant supporting materials, two copies are required.

5) If the spouse of the applicant is a Finnish citizen, the following materials need to be prepared:

A. Two copies of the application form (OLE_PH2) filled out by the applicant and signed by the applicant.

B. Two pages (OLEL_PK) attached to the photo of the residence permit application form, and two standard passport photos of the last six months are attached to the form.

C. two copies of the form (PK2_PLUS) filled out by the Finnish spouse.

D. two copies of the applicant's valid passport, the first page and signature page of the passport and the visa page.

e. notarized and double-certified marriage certificate, original and two copies.

F. If the applicant and the Finnish spouse are married and registered in Finland, two copies of the marriage certificate shall be presented.

6) If one parent is in Finland, the child and the other parent live in China, but only the child applies for a long-term residence permit, the following materials need to be prepared:

A. Two application forms (OLE_PH4) filled out by parents on behalf of the child and signed.

B. Two additional pages (OLEL_PK) for photos of residence permit application form, and two application forms for standard passport photos in the last six months are attached.

C. two copies of the form (PK4_PLUS) filled out by parents in Finland.

D. two copies of the form (PH4_PLUS) filled out by parents in China.

e. the child's valid passport and two copies of the first page of the passport. If there are other visas in the passport, two copies are required.

F. Two copies of the passport and residence permit of the parents in Finland, and two copies of other relevant certification materials are required.

g. the original and two copies of the birth certificate of the child notarized and certified by the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

H. in China, parents' consent for their children to go abroad requires notarization, original and two copies.

7) If one parent is in Finland, and the child and the other parent live in China, and they will apply for a long-term residence permit at the same time, they need to prepare the following materials:

A. Two copies of (OLE_PH4) applied by parents and filled out on behalf of the child, and signed.

B. Two pages (OLEL_PK) attached to the photo of the residence permit application form, and two passport photos of the last six months are attached to the form.

C. two copies of the child's valid passport, the first page and signature page of the passport and the visa page.

D. the original and two copies of the child's birth certificate notarized and certified by the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

(2) Visa for studying abroad

1) Foreign students admitted by Finnish educational institutions need to apply for a long-term residence permit if they study in Finland for more than 3 months.

2) If applicants need to take the entrance examination before being admitted to Finnish educational institutions, they must first apply for a Schengen visa.

3) To apply for a long-term residence permit for the first time, the applicant should submit it at the Finnish Embassy or Consulate General in China (non-China citizens who have valid residence permits in China can submit their applications in China).

4) The extension of the long-term residence permit should be applied to the local police station in Finland.

(3) The applicant is a student who is going to study or exchange in Finland, and the following materials need to be submitted:

1) Fill in two complete and signed application forms (OLE_OPI).

2) Two additional pages of photos (OLEL_PK) attached to the residence permit application form, with two passport photos of the last six months, are attached to the form and cannot be stapled to the application form.

3) valid passport and signature, two copies of the first page of the passport, and two copies of the visa page if there are visas from other countries in the passport.

4) Two copies of overseas medical insurance during studying in Finland are required.

5) the applicant must choose an internationally recognized or international insurance company for insurance, and the insurance company must sign and seal the policy, and provide the inquiry telephone number and website.

6) the original and two copies of the admission notice of Finnish educational institutions.

7) The original and two copies of the bank deposit certificate of 6, euros or about 6, yuan (economical according to the foreign exchange rate) issued in the name of the applicant are required. The applicant must update the certificate once a year during his stay in Finland.

8) provide transcripts of IELTS (IELTS/5.) and TOEFL (TOEFL213/55) English proficiency tests (doctoral students are exempted from taking the test) and two copies.

9) the original and two copies of the applicant's birth certificate.

1) notarized certificate of the highest degree or qualification certificate certified by the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, with the original and two copies.

11) If the applicant is an exchange student, in addition to preparing the recognized certificate with the highest academic qualifications, he/she should also submit the certificate of studying issued by his/her school, which has been certified by the notary office and the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with two originals and two copies. Exchange students should provide two copies of the exchange agreement signed by the principals of both parties.

12) If the applicant is in China or has had work experience, he/she needs to provide a work certificate or work experience certificate, which should be notarized and authenticated, with two originals and two copies.

13) If the applicant is a minor, the consent form signed by the parents should be attached, notarized and authenticated, with the original and two copies.

(4) If the applicant is a scholar going to Finland for research, please submit the following materials:

1) Two (OLE_TUT) application forms are required.

2) Two pages of photos attached to the residence permit application form (OLEL_PK), and two standard passport photos in the last six months (the requirements are the same as above).

3) valid passport and signature, two copies of the first page of the passport, and two copies of the visa page if there are visas from other countries in the passport.

4) The original and two photocopies of the invitation letter issued by the Finnish research institution or inviting company, indicating the applicant's salary, length of stay and scope of duties, and signed by the inviter.

5) financial status certificate (deposit certificate, scholarship certificate or work agreement and other relevant certificates), original and two copies.

6) notarized certificate of the highest academic degree or qualification certificate and certified by the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, with the original and two copies.

7) If the applicant has worked or has worked in China, he/she needs to provide work certificate or work experience certificate, notarized and certified, with the original and two copies.

(5) Work visa

1) Two completed and signed application forms (OLE_TY1).

2) There are two additional pages (OLEL_PK) attached to the residence permit application form, and two passport photos of the last six months are attached to the form, which cannot be stapled to the application form.

3) valid passport and signature, two copies of the first page of the passport, and two copies of the visa page if there are visas from other countries in the passport.

4) the job invitation letter or job description issued by the employer, the original and two copies, indicating the applicant's salary, stay time and scope of duties, and the signature of the inviter.

5) the employer shall submit two copies of the material (TEM54) to the Finnish employment agency.

6) the highest academic certificate notarized and certified by the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the original and two copies.

7) If the applicant will be engaged in technical jobs in Finland, such as cooks, welders, nurses, etc., he/she needs to submit the professional qualification certificate that has been certified by notarization and the Certification Department of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the original and two copies.

8) If the applicant currently has a job or has previous work experience, it is required to submit a notarized work certificate or work experience certificate certified by the consul of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the original and two copies.

9) The chef needs to submit the medical certificate, notarized and certified by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the original and two copies.

1) If the applicant is employed by a Finnish company as an expert, the following materials need to be prepared:

A. Two completed and signed application forms (OLE_TY2).

B. Two additional pages (OLEL_PK) with two passport photos of the last six months are attached to the residence permit application form.

C. valid passport with signature, two copies of the first page and signature page of the passport, and copies of the first page and signature page of the passport. If there are visas from other countries in the passport, two copies of the visa page are required.

D. Job description, indicating the salary, length of stay and scope of duties of the applicant, and two copies.
