"Space Battleship Yamato" (Space Battleship Yamato, English: Space battleship Yamato) can be called the ancestor of Japanese animation. The original work and animation director are the famous Japanese cartoonist Leiji Matsumoto. It represents the beginning of Japanese animation.

Plot:
