Ancient paintings and operas used to be very popular, and most traditional cultures were also very popular with the people. The once glorious Flower Drum Opera in southern Anhui came from the people, originated in Hua Gutiao during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and was popular in Xuanzhou, Guangde, Ningguo, langxi and other places in southern Anhui. At the end of 19, Hubei folk flower drum and Henan lantern music were introduced to southern Anhui with immigrants, and they merged with local folk songs and dances, and were influenced by brothers' operas such as Anhui Opera and Beijing Opera. After a hundred years' evolution and development, it has formed a local opera with rough, simple and bright artistic style and distinctive local colors, covering nearly 10 million people in the surrounding areas of Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The performing arts of ancient paintings in southern Anhui originated from folk songs and dances, with white fans, red scarves and ribbons as basic props. According to the changes of characters' personality, thoughts and feelings, colorful dances and body movements are formed, which dance with the specific rhythm of gongs and drums, express the inner feelings of characters, and complete the dramatic movements and the shaping of characters. It is precisely because of its "grass-roots" characteristics that ancient paintings in southern Anhui once flourished and once declined. After liberation, the endangered Flower Drum Opera in southern Anhui was lost twice. He toured large and medium-sized cities in East China and performed in Beijing on 1982, which attracted widespread attention and produced a number of outstanding repertoires and artists with national fame. A number of outstanding plays, such as Spring Sister-in-law, Coral Joining the Party, Jiegu Jingtian and Shuimei Zi, have great influence.
