Naturalization policy

The applicant must legally reside in Cyprus;

Applicants must have lived in Cyprus for 365 days in the year before application and have lived in Cyprus continuously for at least 7 years.

If the parents or children of Cypriots apply for naturalization, they must live in Cyprus for 365 days in the year before the application and have lived in Cyprus for 5 consecutive years.

The spouse of a Cypriot citizen applying for naturalization has been married for at least 3 years and has lived in Cyprus for 2 years at the time of application;

Applicants for naturalization need to attend 1-2 Greek interview;

For two consecutive days, I made a statement in the local newspaper in Cyprus, saying that I would like to become a Cypriot citizen.
