202 1 New Zealand Work Permit Latest Policy New Temporary Work Permit Review Process

Recently, the New Zealand Immigration Bureau announced that it will carry out a new reform on the work visa, which will be implemented in the middle of 20021. So is the reform of New Zealand work visa good or bad this time? New Zealand's latest work visa policy and the latest temporary work visa review process are as follows. Please pay attention!

The new temporary work visa will replace six work visas. Immigration New Zealand will introduce a new temporary work visa application system after mid-20021to replace the current six temporary work visas:

1, necessary skills work visa;

2, the necessary skills work visa-pre-approval;

3. Honorary employer work visa;

4. Long-term skills shortage list work visa;

5. Silver fern work visa (20 19 years17 October,19);

6. Silver fern practical experience visa (silver fern two-stage visa).

After the introduction of new work visas, some existing work visas will not be affected, mainly including:

Seasonal employer sponsored work visa (RSE)

working holiday visa

Post-graduation work sign

Spouse work sign, etc.

The new examination procedures for temporary workers' visas will also change. In the past, employees applied for work visas, and employers cooperated (applicants submitted their applications first, and the immigration bureau reviewed the qualifications of enterprises). After the middle of 202 1, it is:

Employer's guarantee qualification examination → guarantee post examination → employee's application qualification examination.

The New Deal will focus on the application orientation of employers. All employers who need to hire overseas employees will apply to the Immigration Bureau for sponsorship qualification, and only qualified enterprises certified by the Immigration Bureau can sponsor employees.

Moreover, the certified enterprise cannot guarantee the employees permanently. Enterprises that have passed the certification of the Immigration Bureau for the first time have a guarantee period of 12 months, and then submit the certification again. If approved again, the enterprise will get a 24-month guarantee period.

Employers applying for certification need to apply for a NewZealandBusinessNumber(NZBN), and the Immigration Bureau will announce the application details in the first half of 20021.

Of course, in addition to applying for the guarantee qualification certification from the Immigration Bureau, enterprises also need to ensure that there are no New Zealand natives to replace the guarantee posts. This is the second step of the security post audit, and finally the employee application qualification audit.

The new temporary work visa continues the policy of 1, and visa holders with wages below the median must still leave New Zealand 1 year after working for 3 years.

In 2020, the current median hourly wage will be NZ $25.5 per hour.

2. The new temporary work visa will still stipulate that when the employer, work and place change, the visa holder needs to submit an application for change of conditions or apply for a new visa.

If all the employment conditions are met, the current work visa can be used until its validity period.
