Hong Kong residents can apply for public housing as long as they meet the following conditions, while mainland residents who have not obtained Hong Kong identity cards are not allowed to apply.

1. The applicant must be at least 18 years old.

2. Applicants and their family members must now live in Hong Kong and have the right to land in Hong Kong, and their stay in Hong Kong is not restricted by their conditions of stay (except those related to the length of stay).

Three, the applicant's monthly total household income and net assets shall not exceed the current limit.

4. The applicant and his family members do not own any residential property in Hong Kong.

5. When allocating housing, at least half of the members (all Hong Kong residents) in the application form must have lived in Hong Kong for seven years, and all members still live in Hong Kong.
