Applicants finally fill out the application immediately after their I-140 form is sent to the USCIS. After Form I-140 is sent to the USCIS, it may take 3 to 6 months or even longer to be approved.

Within a few weeks after your I-140 is approved, you will receive forms and instructions from the U.S. National Visa Agency. Once these forms are submitted to the consulate, you will be notified of being fingerprinted shortly. Then, wait to be notified of the interview date.
