Why do refugees like to come to Sweden

Simply put, Sweden is the EU country that receives the largest number of asylum seekers per capita. Sweden, with a population of about 9.5 million, received 33,025 refugees in 20 14.

2. Sweden provides "green cards" to all Syrian refugees.

Syrians are the largest refugee group seeking protection in Europe. In 20 13, considering the worsening war situation in Sweden, Sweden became the first European country to stipulate that all Syrian refugees will be granted long-term residence permits. Sweden provides generous social welfare for refugees.

First, once asylum seekers arrive in Sweden, they will be provided with emergency accommodation immediately until they are placed in temporary housing. Secondly, single adults will get a daily allowance of SEK 7 1(SEK 2 159/ month), and those with families will get a higher amount. For asylum-seekers the Swedish government will help them find accommodation and provide them with free Swedish courses for immigrants. For refugees who are interested in employment, the Swedish Employment Bureau will also provide them with an income of 6,468 kronor/month during their job search.

5. International reputation

Sweden has always had an open and inclusive international image. Although the popularity of the Swedish Democratic Party, which opposes immigration, is increasing, the current ruling Social Democratic Party-Green Party Coalition strongly supports the rescue of refugees. In the past two weeks, Prime Minister Stefan L?fven has repeatedly called on Swedes to help refugees and called on other European countries to follow Sweden's example.
