How to become a citizen after emigrating to Cyprus?

Traditional naturalization:

1) Foreign applicants must have legally resided in Cyprus for 7 years or more before submitting their application for naturalization in Cyprus.

2) Foreign applicants whose parents or children are Cypriot citizens must have lived in Cyprus legally for five years or more.

In addition to the above conditions, before submitting the application for naturalization in Cyprus, the applicant must have lived in Cyprus continuously and legally for 12 months or more.

Fast naturalization:

The Amendment of Chartered Citizenship in Cyprus was adopted by the Cabinet Meeting on March 19, 1965, and came into effect on March 28th. Investors can obtain Cyprus passports for the whole family in the following ways:

1) Seven investors * * * apply at the same time, and each investor can invest at least 2.5 million euros+value-added tax to buy a real estate, and the whole family can get a Cyprus citizen passport. (This investment method is valid before June 1, 20 14).

2) Five investors * * * apply at the same time, each investor can buy a house with an investment of not less than 3 million euros+VAT, and the whole family can obtain a Cyprus citizen passport.

3) Investors who directly invest 5.5 million euros+value-added tax to buy real estate in Cyprus can get a Cypriot citizen passport for their whole family.

note:

The applicant must provide proof of no criminal record. Besides, its name is not on the EU's list of violators of land expropriation.

(2) The applicant must buy a house with a value of not less than 500,000 euros in Cyprus. The value of the house can be included in the total investment.

* Houses must be permanently preserved and cannot be sold;
