Israel went to great lengths to rescue African Jews from returning home, but deprived them of their reproductive rights. Why?

Presumably, friends who have been to Tel Aviv will meet black people who call themselves Jews in the city. However, in our impression, Jews are mostly white and a few are brown. So, are these black people who call themselves Jews the product of national integration or immigrants from other countries? This problem may go back to the origin of Jews thousands of years ago.

Around 960 BC, Solomon, the second son of King David, succeeded his father and became the third king of the Kingdom of Israel. Later, he was called King Solomon. King Solomon was born a wise man and was respected as a wise king by Israel. According to legend, there are many works in his life, and there is no gap in astronomy and geography. Its reputation has long been famous overseas, and countless people went to Israel just to see the face of this wise king.

According to the Records of Kings and other ancient books, during the reign of King Solomon, Queen Sheba, the ruler of North Africa and Arabian Peninsula, admired King Solomon for a long time. So he came to Jerusalem with a large number of people and gold to see the king of kings. After seeing Solomon, the Queen of Sheba deliberately asked some difficult questions to determine whether Solomon was as clever as rumored. However, King Solomon did not hesitate to answer these questions.

The queen of Sheba was shocked by King Solomon's wisdom. She ordered her followers to present gold and jewels to King Solomon. King Solomon was more polite to the monarch who came from afar. They met each other after a brief encounter and regarded each other as bosom friends. After several days of communication, the beautiful young Queen of Sheba fell in love with the wise and great King Solomon, and King Solomon fell in love with the Queen unintentionally. Two people, two of a kind, finally came together.

However, the happy time is always short. The Queen of Sheba, who has been away from her hometown for a long time, is homesick, so she bid farewell to King Solomon and returned to the land under her jurisdiction. On the way home, the Queen of Sheba gave birth to the crystallization of her love with Solomon. The Queen of Sheba named it Manirik.

Many years later, Manilik went to Jerusalem to meet King Solomon and told him about his life experience. Solomon appointed him the first emperor of Ethiopia and sent some Israelis to Ethiopia. After the Israelites arrived, they intermarried with the local people and gave birth to the first mixed-race children of Jewish descent, that is, the ancestors of African Jews.

In the 4th century, the Kingdom of aksum unified Ethiopia. In order to stabilize its rule, the royal family of aksum stipulated Christianity as the state religion of the Kingdom of aksum. At that time, the descendants of Israelis were persecuted and even slaughtered by the aksum authorities because of their different beliefs, which led to a sharp decline in the number of Jews in Africa. African Jews who survived by luck also converted to Christianity.

After World War II, Jews returned to their homeland and established the State of Israel with the help of Americans. Those Jews who are far away from Africa naturally want to leave the backward African region and come to the newly industrialized countries to pursue a better life.

However, Israel's early wars were frequent, and it can be said that it barely survived in the Arab encirclement network, which naturally could not solve this long-standing historical problem. At the same time, the Israeli authorities are skeptical about the origin of this group of black people. After all, after more than a thousand years of evolution, the lineage of that group of Israelis may have disappeared in the long river of national integration.

In the 1970s, with the overthrow of the last Ethiopian emperor by the uprising, African diamonds once fell into endless turmoil and civil strife, and African Jews who had been bullied for generations were once again hanged by racists. A large number of African Jews went to Israel through legal channels or smuggling. With the strengthening of Israel's national strength, in order to gain more international voice and inspire international sympathy for Jews, the Israeli authorities announced that they would accept African Jewish refugees from Ethiopia.

Israel's acceptance of Ethiopian Jewish refugees not only earned enough money for itself in the international community, but also effectively supplemented the sequelae caused by several Middle East wars. Although the four Middle East wars ended in Israel's victory, the sharp decline in population brought the country to a standstill, and the influx of Jewish refugees provided Israel with a large number of labor.

However, Ethiopian officials and the Arab world will not let Israel accept these African Jews so easily. In 1980s, Ethiopian authorities banned Judaism and local Jews from learning Hebrew. These naked racist policies aroused the anger of the Israeli authorities.

So, under the leadership of then Israeli Prime Minister Chamir, a special group composed of IDF soldiers and Mossad members of the intelligence agency was set up. First, through diplomatic mediation, they let the Sudanese authorities open the refugee camps on the border between Sudan and Egypt, and then sent a working group to infiltrate Ethiopia to persuade the Jews in that country to go to Sudan.

At one time, a large number of Jewish refugees flooded into Sudanese refugee camps, and then the Israeli military transported the refugees back to Israel by transport plane. This is the famous "Moses Action" in history.

Although "Operation Moses" achieved some results, such a large-scale evacuation obviously damaged the sovereignty of the Ethiopian authorities. Ethiopia and the Arab world collectively put pressure on Israel, forcing the Israeli authorities to temporarily suspend Moses' actions, which also led to the emergence of a group of African Jews in Ethiopia.

Israel has not given up this group of Jews. A few years later, on 1989, Israel finally signed an agreement with Ethiopia for Jews to leave the country freely. In order to reach an agreement, Israel provided a large number of weapons and equipment and military technology to the Ethiopian military. Ethiopian Jews also returned to the State of Israel in batches.

Through several immigration actions, Israel not only solved the population crisis, but also gained a lot of voice in the international community. However, the Israeli authorities have also implemented a strict control policy against these refugees. First of all, they have conducted many political and religious reviews to confirm whether they are real Jews. At the same time, in order to ensure the qualification of Jewish descent and avoid the phenomenon of a large number of black people occupying the nest. Israel's forced sterilization of female black refugees has led western society to think that Israel is depriving black Jews of their reproductive rights.

It can also be seen that the Israeli authorities do not regard black Jews as one of them, and all this is just a tool to gain more international discourse power.
