At the same time, Chongqing Wanxian Immigrant Development Zone was established to manage six counties: Kaixian, Zhongxian, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wushan and Wuxi. From 65438 to 0998, Wanxian Immigration Development Zone and Wanxian District were renamed Wanzhou Immigration Development Zone and Wanzhou District. Wanzhou Immigration Development Zone was abolished in 2000, and all counties were directly under the jurisdiction of Chongqing.
