Will China citizens be punished if their Indonesian visas expire?
In August 2005, the Indonesian government allowed China (Mainland) citizens to apply for visas on arrival at the open ports of Indonesian airports and ports.
Arrival. According to the current regulations, applicants need to apply for visas at the port counter with a valid passport (valid for more than half a year) and a round-trip ticket. The fee is $25, and there is no need to fill out the application form. The visa on arrival is valid for 30 days. After the expiration, you can apply to the local immigration office for an extension of 30 days at a cost of 250,000 rupiah. If the immigration officer at the airport asks for money when entering the country, he can report it to the Disciplinary Office of the Immigration Bureau (telephone: 0062-2 1-6073878, fax: 0062-2 1-5507 187), or call our Embassy in Indonesia, Consulate General in Surabaya and Medan.
Generally speaking, visas on arrival are not extended and must be re-applied abroad. If you don't come back after the time limit for returning home, you will be fined about 15 USD for each day of delay. If you don't go to the immigration office to pay the fine, you will be detained at the immigration office at the airport when you leave the country. In short, no matter whether it is handed in or not, it will leave a bad record.
