Resettlement of immigrants in Longtan hydropower station reservoir area

The relocation and resettlement work in Guizhou has passed the acceptance inspection, and 7 144 households and 34,207 migrants in the reservoir area of Longtan Hydropower Station below the elevation of 290-330m have all been relocated, which means that the water storage of Longtan Hydropower Station has completed a crucial work. The resettlement of Longtan hydropower project involves Guangxi and Guizhou provinces. Some immigrants in Guangxi involve Tian 'e County of Hechi City and leye county of Baise City. There are 6 townships, 18 administrative villages and 70 natural villages, and 2,932 households need to be relocated,13,800 people. On September 20, 2006, all these immigrants moved out of the old site and demolished their old houses. These rural migrants are arranged in 35 resettlement sites. The local government arranges the lives of immigrants by granting living allowances. On September 2, 2006, Kloc-0, the relocation and resettlement of Guangxi immigrants passed the acceptance inspection.

Some immigrants in Guizhou involve five counties, including Qiannan, Southwest Guizhou, Luodian, Wangmo, Cixiang, Zhenfeng and Zhenning, 30 townships, 173 administrative villages and 58 1 villager group. By September 20th, 2006, there were 2,844 households13,803 people relocated in Guizhou. Due to tight time and heavy tasks, 1368 households with 6,604 people took transitional resettlement. On September 28th, 2006, the resettlement work in Guizhou passed the acceptance.
