The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Board is responsible for the evaluation of nurses.
* In fact, in Australia, any professional assessment is required before applying for skilled migration.
Five professional evaluation and certification standards for nurses and practical nurse;
ANMAC put forward five professional evaluation and certification standards for nurses with immigrant ideas and practical nurse:
1. Identification
Applicants must provide personal identification documents and photos (such as passports).
2. English requirements (meet any one)
-Applicants must achieve a total score of 7 in IELTS Class A and a score of not less than 7 in a single subject (under certain conditions, they can be exempted from taking the exam, which will be explained below).
-The applicant must meet the requirements of OET (Occupative English Test) 4B,
3. Education
Applicants must provide proof of nursing and midwifery education in Australia.
-Registered nurses and midwives have at least 3 years full-time undergraduate education.
-Midwives have completed the 1 full-time midwifery course.
ANMAC also accepts education certificates from various countries:
Nursing: Britain, Ireland, Canada, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, and EU member countries (nursing education has reached EUDirective2005/36/EC).
Midwifery: Britain, Ireland, EU member countries (nursing education has reached EUDirective2005/36/EC).
It is worth noting that applicants who have completed basic education in other countries have been certified by designated countries and have worked full-time for more than three months, which is also considered to meet the academic requirements of ANMAC.
Applicants who have just finished their diploma (certificate IVUNTIL 20 14) are considered to meet the academic requirements if they have worked for a certain period of time.
4. Internship or work experience requirements
-Applicants must hold the latest certification or certificate of the country where they work.
-Applicants must provide proof that they have been employed by relevant nursing and midwifery units in the past five years (if they cannot provide proof of the past five years, applicants can choose to provide proof of their latest work experience).
Note: The applicant's internship or work unit must be approved by ANMAC.
5. Health requirements
-Applicants must provide proof of physical and mental health.
-Applicants must provide proof that they have not committed a crime in Australia.
IELTS exemption conditions for nursing majors:
Applicants who have completed full-time study (including high school) in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, the United Kingdom or the United States for five years or more can apply for exemption from IELTS by presenting their diplomas and registered nurse qualification certificates of previous courses.
