How to apply for a visa to study in Canada?
Conditions for applying for a visa to study in Canada:
1. Children who study abroad must be minors. Parents cannot apply for accompanying visas if their children are over 18 years old;
2. Domestic economic guarantee must be sufficient to support children studying abroad to complete their studies in Canada.
3. There is a legal marriage relationship between the applicant accompanying the visa and the international students.
4. There are children, brothers and sisters and other lineal relatives between the visa applicant and the international students.
How to apply for a study visa in Canada:
1. When applying for a study visa, parents will countersign multiple visit visas. In terms of immigration law, Canada allows parents or spouses of international students to apply for a visit visa to accompany international students to live in Canada. When entering the country, the intention of accompanying students should be made clear to the customs officials, and visiting records allowing them to stay for a long time can be issued to their parents or children, so as to achieve the purpose of accompanying students for a long time. Moreover, because of holding multiple entry visas, parents or children do not need to apply for visas again when they return to Canada after leaving Canada. However, parents cannot legally work in Canada on a visiting visa.
In the past, I applied for a tourist visa in Canada and converted it into OWP (Open Work Permit). This method is widely used by parents of international students. As long as foreign students have a college degree or above in a Canadian institution and hold a valid study permit, the success rate of parents getting a visit visa to enter Canada is very high.
3. When applying for a visa to study abroad, parents can sign OWP directly, or if the overseas students are in Canada, parents can apply for OWP directly in China. Parents who apply for OWP have the same academic requirements for international students themselves. China people are not familiar with this method. At present, not many people use this method, but there have been some successful cases. The advantage is that parents can get a work visa and work permit with the same validity period as the study permit for international students, and they can work in Canada without re-applying for a visa to and from Canada.
Time of accompanying visa for studying in Canada:
The Canadian government has opened the time limit for accompanying study visas, which can be used for 10 years at a time, and the longest one-way visa in Canada can be up to half a year. Generally speaking, if the accompanying time of a student visa is approved, it will usually be the same as that of a child's study visa.
Necessary materials for application and renewal of Canada's accompanying study visa;
1. Proof of the identity relationship between the applicant and the dependents: household registration book, marriage application acceptance certificate/marriage certificate, birth certificate and other documents that can prove the relationship.
2. A copy of the foreigner's landing card and the dependant's passport.
3. Proof that the supporter can support.
1) On-the-job situation of the dependents: a. Copy of employment certificate/business license, or other documents that can prove the directness of the dependents. B. Certificates that can prove the annual income and tax payment of the dependents: resident tax/income tax certificate, source collection ticket and copy of declaration form.
2) When the dependent is not on the job: a. Passbook in the name of the dependent/certificate of deposit balance issued by the financial institution b. Certificate of accepting the grant (the amount and the detailed period of acceptance must be stated) c. Other certificates that can prove the ability to support.
4. Documents to be submitted for visa renewal: 1) A copy of the dependent foreigner's landing permit and passport; 2) A certificate that can prove the dependent's raising ability.
To sum up, Canada's accompanying visa application conditions are not high. The Canadian Embassy also encourages applicants with good backgrounds to apply for short-term visas and is willing to give them more visa time. However, it does not mean that all applications for accompanying visas in Canada can be successfully signed out. If the visa application materials are insufficient or unclear, the Canadian visa officer will still act according to the regulations and refuse the visa.
