Construction of Bantou Reservoir

In July, 1968, Nan 'an County Hydropower Bureau was responsible for the planning and design of Bantou Reservoir and Power Station. After on-the-spot investigation, the total drop was more than 25 meters, which could not only develop the fourth-class power station, but also build the dam site of Longtou Reservoir. The dam project started in October 197 and was basically completed by the end of 1972. At the end of 1978, the four-stage power station was completed and generated. From October 1981 to 1989, the construction of dam protection and reinforcement project was completed. The dam project * * * completed 1.13 million cubic meters of earth and stone, and invested 2.25 million man-days, with a total investment of 7.1 million yuan, including 3,155,2 yuan from the state. The hub building consists of three parts: dam, culvert and spillway. The dam is a homogeneous earth dam, with a height of 5m, a crest elevation of 36.3m, a crest length of 285m and a width of 7m. The upstream and downstream slopes are protected by dry block stones.

the water conveyance culvert is located on the left hillside of the earth dam. The diameter of the pressure circular tube is 1.6 meters, the slope is 1/5, and the length of the hole is 143.5 meters. The drainage equipment is a rotating door cover, and the winch is opened and closed. The maximum drainage flow is 11.2 cubic meters per second.

the spillway is located on the right hillside of the earth dam. Open type, with a total length of 337.3 meters, controlled by double-hole arc gate, with a maximum flood discharge of 36 cubic meters per second. In 1971, the Bantou Power Station Revolutionary Committee was established and managed by the County Industrial Bureau. On February 27, 1978, it was managed by the county hydropower bureau. From the completion of the project to the end of 199, both the reservoir and the power station were managed and used by Bantou Power Station, and the fourth power station was placed under the management of Yingdu Commune in June 1976.

Bantou Reservoir Power Station was built during the "Cultural Revolution", with rapid construction progress and many problems in the main project. After completion, it was listed as one of the dangerous reservoirs by Fujian Provincial Hydropower Department for a long time, and the control water level of the reservoir was limited to 295 meters (stone) for a long time. After years of engineering maintenance, continuous construction and dam protection and reinforcement, it has reached the flood control standard issued by the Ministry, and the limited water level of the reservoir in flood season has increased year by year. By 199, the flood limit water level had been raised to 33 meters, which was still 1 meter lower than the normal water level.
