Brief introduction of Huihe township

Huihe Township is located in the northwest suburb of Tongling City, facing Laozhou Township of Tongling County across the river in the east. Bordered by Wuwei County in the west; North and Wuwei County dresser adjacent; Pujiwei Farm South. The total area is 16.72 square kilometers, the water area is 1200 mu, and the cultivated land area is 533.39 mu, including paddy field 1928.48 mu, dry land 34010.965438 mu, mountainous area 3000 mu, and wasteland suitable for forest/kloc. The terrain is high in the south and low in the north, which is relatively flat.

The lakes in the territory crisscross, and the water systems of Yaochen Lake, Zhusi Lake and Fengsha Lake crisscross, and meet at the Dongfeng Gate of the dressing table and merge into the Yangtze River. Mawa Village and dongyuan village are semi-hilly and semi-polder beaches. Dongfeng Village, Taiyang Village and Huihe Village belong to polder areas. The soil is mainly paddy soil and polder sand.

According to the spirit of the meeting minutes of the general office of the provincial government [1988] 138 and the spirit of the official reply of the Provincial Civil Affairs Department and the Provincial Geographical Names Committee [1989] 185, Tongling City was established on the basis of the immigrants from the river collapse in Baimao District of Wuwei County and the established villages of Dongfeng, Mawa and Dongyuan in Niubu District. 1April 5, 990, the first people's congress of Huihe Township was held and the people's government of Huihe Township was established. In this way, the development history of Huihe Township began.
